A mysterious marvel for any collector of rare Platycerium ferns. The Davy Jones mixed sporeling is an uncommon staghorn hybrid with deep green fronds sprinkled in creamy-white or silvery speckles. Grown from a mixed batch of spores, these plants embody bold patterning and robust growth. Our acclimated juveniles are already producing thick shield fronds and the beginnings of lush antlers.

Cared for in an airy mix, Davy Jones thrives with bright, indirect light and regular misting.  It’s naturally epiphytic, so mounting on wood or bark will keep it happiest. Expect round shields to protect its root base and eventually large, forked fertile fronds showcasing its dramatic color.
